I have to admit that I have been riding on a bald front tyre for the last few weeks. The last of the tread disappeared nearly a month ago and realistically the tye should have been replaced 3 months ago but only having to ride4 -5 kms to work each day, in traffic, I kept putting it off.

But got a new BT45 on the front on the weekend and...WHAT a difference!

The old tyre (a Dunlop) was well rounded out with no tread on it and the steering was noticeably heave and susceptibe to small road imperfections like slightly raised ridges in the surface (where they've relaid part of the road but only over HALF the lane??!! Go figure who thought that one up.

But the new tyre rides over that much better and leaning into and steering around corners is much more effortless.

Tread getting low on those tyres...make the change and witness the difference. Too easy to get accustomed to something that is less than good and if the drought broke here over the last few weeks, downright dangerous and slippery.

And I can recommend the BT45's.

Tires onna Moto need to be.. matched.. it makes a serious difference..

Yeah, what a fun idea, nice raised line right in the place where a motorcycle would be right along the road. Here they seem to like to put them round corners too. There is a good section in Timaru on the main road, slight curve right in the brake zone coming up to a set of traffic lights!

I let the bike decide (if that makes sence), tust the machine and don't tence up.

Good to know, tyres in our size are getting harder to find here.
