Fuel Gauge?

    i have a 1983 xj750maxim should it have a fuel gauge? it has a sender
    in the tank but no level gauge or warning light.

    83 Maxims did not have a fuel gauge. The tank must be off of a 82.

    Lower 48 in general. Otherwise Central Mitten.
    The 83 Maxim did not come with a factory fuel guage. What you probably have is an 82 Maxim tank with the sending unit in it.
