fuel guage on xj1100

    hey all, have a question on the 1100 fuel guage, if the fuel level is low will the warning light come on for the fuel? i have checked the wiring to the tank sending unit, and all seems good, but i only have enough fuel in it to test run it..

    A low fuel condition will trip the light. Just jump the wires togeather and see if it shows full and the light should go out.

    PS did you ever figure out what you want for the trans out of your spare engine. Since you say it worked good I'd like to swap out the whole thing. My bike that needs the trans work has 40K on it so I'm sure its all worn out any way.
