I wrote a long letter this morning, but apparently I did something wrong, for I don't see it posted. Here goes again--I'll be briefer.
I have an XJ700 Maxim with a fuel reserve on the petcock that leaks. One of the diaphragms is actually wore through in one spot, about 1/4 in. Can I put rubber cement, or seal-all from Ace Hard. to fix that or what? I can't find one anywhere on the internet, even on this site. I'd buy an aftermarket petcock even--trying to avoid the $70 original from Yamaha--see other petcocks for around $40.
Also, the diaphragms over my carborators are weak and I can see through them in spots--like to buy new ones, if I could find. Anyone help me?
Bought this bike last Nov.--haven't gotten to ride it yet--many little things to fix on it, along with a move, and running a tree service, and obligations at church. Sure be nice to get it running before the cold weather hits!

Hey again Preacher......if you can actually see through the black rubber diaphrams, that's NOT a good thing. I should have a good used set of diaphrams for these.....drop me a PM or an e-mail and I'll check for you. New ones are simply not available any more.
