help! i cleaned my carbs ,replaced petcock with manual one, removed airbox to use pods and cant get fuel into carbs....i mean none.....i tampered with float adjustment, and had flooding. thenreadjusted and had no leaks, and no fuel in any of the carbs...wouldnt i get some fuel, if the floats in all 4 carbs are

going up and down,no matter how low they are adjusted??? i havent hooked any of the vacuum lines up to anything, just plugged the old petcock vacuum line to carb #2 it runs perfect on starting fuel at idle. any help with how to handle vacuum lines wirth airpods .....and adjusting floats....glass bowls would be perfect.

you have to have the vac line hooked up if the petcock is on run or res. the vacuum opens the diaphragm in the petcock and allows fuel to flow.

Also, because you have empty bowls, you should turn your petcock to pri to fill them up first (prime bypasses the vac diaphragm)

also, when adjusting float tangs/wet setting fuel... if you felt the metal bend... you bent it too far. the slightest nudge can change fuel levels in the bowl several mm.

He replaced the petcock with a manual type. Maybe the tank needs a vent to allow fuel to flow.

Not necessarily. Plus they need to be adjusted properly to function correctly.

And all you need to do (for now anyway) to "vent" the tank is pop the cap open.

Before installing a Manually Operated Fuel Tap, ... I would have ordered a Brand New Petc0ck.

You need Fail Safe Float Pins and Seats ... and discipline or you can wind-up with a Crankcase full of whatever you have in the tank.
