I have a good enough fuel tank, but the lock is broken on the cap and the screw that holds the cap is off...are there replacements out there...I dont care about the lock just a good cap.

I might have a 650 cap floating about - it opens with a screw driver. It's in relatively good condition otherwise...

When you get a cap you can pull the pins out of the lock. This will let any key of the proper blank open it. That way, you can use your key as an opening tool and don't have to worry about casual passers by messing with it.

    I found it.

It is relatively clean, with a few scratches on it. The inside area where the key plate should be is drilled out and is NOT perfect.

The lock opens with a slothead scewdriver. You could easily replace the lock mechanism with another one...

I do not have the cap-to-tank screw. That is on the motorcycle with the new cap, which is now >sob< owned by XjJoJo.

    >link deleted<

Don't paste the url about... I'll delete the link later. At the 6 second mark you can pause it and see what I mean about the key internals being drilled out.

If you're interested it costs whatever shipping costs... if it's going to sit in your basement like it has mine, then leave it for someone who needs it.

    Woot.
