    Hey guys... So i am going over my bike fixing a bunch of stuff that the previous owner kinda screwed up. I wanted to redo my fuses. I bought Blade-Style fuce holders with protective caps. The only thing I am not sure of is what size fuses should be in them?!?! If you guys could let me know, that would be great!!! Thank you!!!

    Not sure on the 550's but on 650 it is 20 amp for the main, and 10 amps for everything else. You will not regret updating fuse block.

    OKAY. Add that (and other pertinent bike info) to your sig, please.

    Stock fuses in the 550 are MAIN: 20A; all the rest are 10A.

    You can rebuild the stock fusebox if you want to retain the original appearance and put up with glass fuses;

    or you can replace it as you're suggesting. On the 550, you'll need to "notch" the arm on the tool tray slightly and attach the new fusebox to the top of the airbox.

    Check with XJ4Ever for a fusebox retrofit kit that will work with a minimum of fuss.
