I'm doing some spring cleaning and looking to clear out stuff I will likely never use.
This stuff came loose in a lot of FZ600 parts I bought so I don't know the history.

    crank.JPG

this crank came from an 88 FZ600 I bought off a local kid who broke the bike down thinking he was going to restore it. The bike had under 25,000 kms. Crank looks to be in good condition.
    cams.JPG
cams are perfect and from same engine. I suspect they will fit the 550's but I'm not sure if they are a hotter profile or not. $20.

    pistons.JPG
I have 2 sets of pistons/wrist pins & rod assemblies. One set has 87 FZ600 scribed on with a paint marker. Connecting rods say Y08 on them.
They look to be in good condition but I've not verified anything.
The 2nd set has a broken skirt on one piston. The connecting rods have Y09 on them.
All have crank bearings of unknown size.

This stuff might be of interest to anyone wanting to play with their 550 internals. Not too sure if the 550 cylinder block can be bored to accommodate a set of these. I'll take $60 for all the pistons and throw in the crank for free, LOL.

    valve cover.JPG
FZ600 valve cover, I suspect it fits the 550's but not certain. Might be a consideration for anyone who thinks the YICS styling is a little too gawdy. $10.
BTW I'm looking for the non-YICS XJ650 valve cover for my 650 Turbo project for this same reason. if someone out there has one cheap let me know please.

Thanks Kickaha. How did you deal with the compression ratio? thicker/extra base gasket?

Hi Simmy, do you still have the cams? If so, I'll take them.

Sorry I cleared all my 600 stuff out.
The only thing I kept is the valve cover.
I think it would be a nice upgrade for the 550 to get rid of the Bohemian stripes.
