    No. Completely unrelated.

The Fazer is a 1998 to 2003 standard, whilst the FZ600 is an 80's sportsbike with an XJ600 / FJ600 (depending on where you are in the world) motor squeezed into an FZ400 chassis.

Good bike the Fazer, my Dad's had one for the last couple of years, and whilst basic it is fun to ride.

the next question I have read that an exhaust would fit a xj550 . would the fazer exhaust also fit?

if it is interchangable then a motad for the fazer would also fit an xj550. maybe.
I just can not find a acceptable stock exhaust. which I figure would be better buying piece by piece as I find good parts over the next year.

my only other choice is a Mac. all ways of fitting an exhaust will come to 300 to 400 $

would rather have the motad than the mac but would rather have the stock exhaust if it was not all rusted

The FZ600 exhaust should fit your XJ550, the Fazer exhaust definitely won't.

The FZ600 exhaust will fit your bike. A rear exhaust hanger will need to be fabbed up. The FZ600 exhaust is a few inches longer. I run one on my bike. The Fazer won't fit.

The stock FZ600 exhaust is a 4 into 1 setup. Supertrapp also made a 4 into 1 for the 550. I also ran that exhaust on one of my 550's.
