    Latest UPDATE: Now, the incomplete cap is for sale (see photos) - $5.

    UPDATE: The buyer of my tank needs a cap, but he will settle for aftermarket w/keys ($25 shipped from Hong Kong) and soon won't be looking for an OEM cap. If you have a good OEM cap w/key ($25 shipped) just contact me and I'll pass it along. He lives in Indiana and plans to order the cap soon.

    Anyone have a gas cap in poor condition for cheap? Or a good looking one for cheap? :) One in good working condition is preferred, cosmetic does not matter except for cover for the LOCK CYLINDER. I have a good cap but it's missing some parts, like the LOCK CYLINDER w/o-ring, the latch mechanism, ball valve, (2) screws and washers.

    Maybe, if it's in nice cosmetic condition. I don't know if he will care about the key issue. I just posted this above, to reiterate:

    NOTE: be careful about the hong kong caps, they tend to leak.......they aren't assembled correctly and the tolerance for part fit is not OEM quality (at least the two that I've ordered from 2 different suppliers.......I think they all come from one actual source).

    Mine is really reeks of gas and leaks, is it less to rebuild it than it is to buy these poor quality repo's?

    I'd rebuild it. That way, I'd KNOW that the parts are correct, and that they are installed correctly, and that it will work correctly.
