I am looking for a diagram or an explanation on the routing for the gas lines to the carb for a 85 Maxim X 700. I have removed and replaced the carb but cant get the lines back in the right places. If anyone has a drawing or knows how to do this please let me know. I have the service manual but it doesnt have the routing diagram for the lines.

    Thanks

Vacuum line: from #2 or #3 carb intake manifold brass nipple to the brass nipple on the back of the petcock.

Fuel line: from the large outlet on the petcock to the swivelling input T-fitting between the #2 and the #3 carbs on the back of the carb "rack"

Fuel line (large diameter than above): 2 pieces, from the bowl vent/overflow T-fittings that are located in-between the #1 and #2 carb, and another one in-between the #3 and the #4 carb. These are the T-fittings that are higher "up" and further forward on the carb bodies than the fuel inlet t-fitting mentioned previously. These hoses just hang straight down under the carbs and have no termination point.

If your bike is a California version bike, it will also have a vacuum line that runs from the #2 carb vac port that sticks straight up of the front upper section of the carb body, and runs to the vapor cannister behind the right side painted frame cover. The vapor cannister also has an inlet fitting that uses a vac line from the cannister to a roll-over valve in the bottom of the gas tank.
