HI there, I have a 84 xj750RL and want to know if a gasket set for a xj750RK is compatable.
    Thanks.

I have no source to verify this with, but I would assume the the 750RK seca engine is what was installed in the 750RL.

The basic engine was the same for all the 750's. The only thing that you would need to check would be the shift side cover as there were different shifter locations used.

Just checked in the parts diagrams for both models, gaskets for crankcase covers seem to be the same for both sides but the parts numbers for the RL are not very well printed so I can't tell 100% sure.

I seem to remember Dave (hogfiddles) makes all the gasket he needs, but I don't know what material he uses. You could send him a PM if he doesn't chime in.

If you have a link to an online source for the 750RL parts diagrams. I would be entirely greatful if you cold post it.

    Ghost,
xjcd.org is one of the sources for the XJCDs set and the XJ-owners mailing list is another way to get one set.
There may be other sources, but I don't know them.

As I already said, the printing is not very good on the 750RL parts disgrams in particular.

It's probably because I'm relatively new here but I don't see why I shouldn't talk about them! I don't sell them myself and I don't make any money out of them. I think they could be very useful to any XJ owner.

I don't feel that they are incompatible with the XJbikes site in any way, I see them as a good complement and a source of informations you could dig in at anytime.
