I have the 82 XJ 650 (now for sale) but I wanted something more. After a month of looking around. I chose this beautiful 2007 V-Star 1100 Classic.

Gee, you shouldn't notice too much of a difference then.

Nice looking bit of iron, I don't think you'll have to tear the rear brakes apart to check for delamination though.
When are you going to put pods on it? 8O
Enjoy the new (to you) bike, ride safe.

I was only able put 12 miles on it today. It's just too cold here right now. 65mph in 40 degrees with only a fleece jacket! I was done fast and loaded it on the trailer for rest of the hour drive back home. So I don't know much about it yet.

Pods? puthhhh! You hypercharge these bad boys!

It's gonna be fun I'm sure, just gotta make it through the spring snow and mud.

Grats on your new ride, that's a mean looking machine bro. I'm sure you'll enjoy the hell out of it! Any hits on the XJ 650 yet?

thanks, no nothing really, it's just been a little word of mouth advertising so far. I have a friend that knows a guy in MI thats interested in it but thats it. It'll on craigslist once the roads around my house are safe enough for someone to test ride it. Right now I don't think snow packed and icy patches on gravel roads are good for test rides. Why? You interested?

Good thinking about the road conditions, don't need that on your conscience. No, I just bought an 82 xj550 this past Saturday, so I've got my hands full. I'm sure it won't take long once you start trying to sell it though, they are such nice bikes! I'll keep you in mind though if one of my friends gets jealous and wants an xj, lol, and they'll want a bigger one than mine, you know how that works.
