Which is sparkly, believe it or not:[IMG]S5000688 by epochal image, on Flickr

    Like the tank:

You can see it better in garage:

And here's bike looking black, the flames are subtle:

Never mind, I got it to work after brief flickr tutorial I gave myself, sheesh what a pain.

    Outstanding job!
Pls add the name of the paint system you used and the cost.
I'm almost ready to lay down my grafics and havn't decided
whether to go with Adantage, or Euro-Speed clear. ( I'm using
createx pearles over a black base).

I used Montana in the spring when I shot the base and it came out
great but your's has a little better depth to it.

Also-what products did you use when you "cut & buffed"?

Great, great job...only....you really should have polished
the aluminum. The daily ware/scratchs take away somewhat
    from a perfect paint job.

whAhhh, that's the rub, you see, I didn't do that paint, I re-wrote the post so many times the whole point of it got lost.

Here's the deal, I had a rattle-can paint job on one tank that I did, the one in my gallery with the star on it. But I never got the tank totally straight, bad dimples and other problems. My friend Brian is an auto-body man, his dad owns a shop, he'd never done motorcycle tank or ghost flames, so he took on the project free of charge. HA!

He also polished my left side cover, without me asking, he was like, hey this is aluminum, not just plastic, so...

Which leads me to your comment about polishing, that's the whole point of the shot of both covers, to show the polished vs not polished, I just got the right side cover in the mail yesterday, that was what I mean by "got my battery cover" so it still needs to be polished and painted. Assuming my friend didn't learn his lesson. (I hate body work and fail at it often)

looks good - i love the shine/reflection on the tank

FYI: Photobucket is easier to use and you can post "images with thumbnails for forums" and not have to worry about resizing anything. All you have to do is copy and paste from photobucket to your post.

It's funny you should say that, Metal. I tried photofuc...I mean bucket first, but got fed up with the ads and the "website not available" messages and all the broken links. Once I found the BBC code on flickr it was easy-ish. Also, you can do links, as yet I haven't found a way to do tiny pics like photobucket, but there's gotta be a way.

Bike looks great. Regarding those side covers, they are aluminum? So, they can or can't be chromed? You just had yours polished, correct?

Correct, they, well the one, are just polished, it's aluminum around the edge. I have no idea if that can be chromed, I imagine it can, but I'm just blowing smoke at this point.

And thanks again, Stockmonkey(I know I didn't do the cool spelling, couldn't remember it.
My friend already posted on my facebook that he'll paint and polish the right side one, so that will look sweet. Now I have to unbend the bottom tab that the PO bent back because he didn't have a cover, hopefully I don't break it.

Good luck man, if it does snap you could probably tack a new one on. (or just modify the mounts for it).
