Grinding off front fender mounts from forks

    Anybody ever grind off the front fender mounts when bobbing their bike?

    nope, though you cant get away with no fender in the uk

    yessir, seen it done numerous times. saw them off with a bandsaw grinder or sawzall and then grind away!

    Thanx guys, Being im not gonna run a front fender I think it would have a cleaner look.

    I thought you at least needed a bracket for support on the forks. I know the 650 the fender has a fairly heavy bracket built in.

    no need for a bracket. the axle and bottom triple will give ya all ya need. have fun tinkering with it. It will look sweet!

    Nice tutorial, gives me confidence, although I don't have a lathe I can still cut em off and grind to a point, then sand to perfection, I know it will take alot more elbow grease but I'll get there. I plan on painting the lowers black also.
