Hi, this is my first post here on XJbikes and i try to present my newly bulit cafe racer project.
as i am member of EAST SIDE DOGS Riding Club a Romanian motorbike club here in Iasi Romania, we decide to modify our bikes so this Yamaha XJ550 was named ESD-01.
the bike has been stripped, the frame and wheels has been sandblasted and modified the rear end to introduce a LED strap on it, made a custom tail to hide the baterry and the relays.
i used also a new Megaphone exhaust pipes and MOXI air pods (the carbs will be rejet with a kit bought from 6Sigma from USA)
in that project has been envolved few members of the ESD who worked efectively or bring his ideas to finish. Fotografie-0043.jpg Fotografie-0097.jpg Fotografie-0089.jpg Fotografie-0092.jpg 12994390_1705728829682709_146681691758322633_n.jpg Fotografie-0043.jpg Fotografie-0097.jpg

Nice work. I like the black paint on the engine, forks and rear brake - polished head fins are super - I will do my next engine the same for sure- is it still the standard 550 unit?
