Two guys on matching Ducati Monsters pulled up beside me at a stop light tonight - they were more than a little shocked when I stayed right beside them when the light turned green before backing off. Hope I didn't make it more difficult for them to make their next loan payment lol

Anyone else with a XJ tease story ?

Was riding my XS11 last year and was stopped at a traffic light on a 4 lane road with a long stretch of straight in front. A Corvette pulled next to me and reved his enging many times. I could not resist. When the light turned green he laid into it with a bit of tire squeal. I did not want to race just try to keep up, so I did all the way to 110 it was right behind him. I was paying attention to what I saw way far ahead he was not. I backed off and slowed down to 55 he did not. He kept accelerating and I let him go. When I finally passed him the cop was right behind him with blue lights and siren.

I DUSTED a harley this morning. Was crusing with him for about 10-15 miles. Got stopped a few lights. Older Revs the harley a bit. I rev back. Light goes green there was no competition. Put me in a great mood this morning.

These stories make me happy. Me and my buddies do it all the time on short roads when we are f***ing around and no one is in sight for miles.

This is a story from years ago but it was on a Yamaha just not an XJ so here it goes - On my RD350, I pulled up to a light beside a motorcycle gang member on a Harley - now back in those days these biker gangs didn't always have the best looking or running bikes but hey hated bikes from Japan ( some of you will remember us saying Japanese junk lol ) and particularly two stroke jap bikes. All I remember when the light turned green was hearing the Harley sputter under power beside me, when I looked in the rearview mirror he vanished into a cloud of blue 2 stroke oil smoke - I didn't want to have him near me again for good reason - hope you enjoyed it

Let me just say " I didn't start this conversation to encourage anyone to race and get hurt " I never really race I just tease a little and back off once it's somewhat clear who might win a race. It not worth killing yourself over. In the case of a vintage bike just showing them that these machines were better than they realized. Be safe friends - thanks for posting - keep them coming
