Hand grips

    In need of new hand grips, what size do i need, where might i find some

    assuming you have stock handle bars, you need to get 7/8" motorcycle grips. I got my at the local yamaha dealer for $15. there is a left and right for the throttle control.

    yes they are stock, are they 7/8 on both sides or is the throttle side 1"... dont really want to go to our loacal dealer hereyhay are kink of as*$#@s so looking for some other options... ebay or something like that

    they should be listed as 7/8". The throttle side grip is a bigger id but the grip size goes by bar diameter not grip opening. The only time you might run into grips that both sides are 7/8 is if you are looking at wheeler type. Also the stock plastic throttle control (that your grip slides onto) has some big knurls on it that may need to be shaved down for aftermarket grips.

    You need to pay attention to the length too. You don't want to end up with one that is too long or short. Measure your old ones......
