Hey everyone. So im moving right along on my first XJ Bobber rebuild. (pics to come soon.) I am now at the point of choosing my new handle bar set up. After looking around on my own I have a few questions I hope someone could help me answer. First off, I am looking to possibly raise the assembly and add straight drag bars. What is the best way to do this as I noticed the bar clamps on the bike do not support raised frame drag bars. Second, when choosing my bars does anyone know the exact diameter bar I should be looking for? Any good websites to look for them?

Thanks guys for all the good advice!

All of these bikes that use a conventional tubular handlebar use a 7/8" bar.

A company named BikeMaster makes a whole line of handlebars; and they're not expensive.

    Get a' Googlin'.

    Taller bars?

If you mean risers, you could use something like this: http://www.1tail.com/GenMar/Handlebar_R ... 04/731844/ Poke about on the web a bit, and you might be able to find sombody offering even taller ones.

However, what's the real difference between a "drag bar" on risers and a set of low, "sport" bars like these (Euro) or a Superbike (flatter yet) bend?
