Handle Bars

    Has anyone changed their handle bars from XJ to XS. If so where
    did you mount the ign. switch?

    I used the original mount and redrilled the holes on my XJ1100.

    I used 4' Risers I made and bolted them to the upper tree to mount the new bars onto. I then moved my ignition switch to the left side of the bike just under the left cover (just extended the existing wires and bolted it on the frame)
    I got so used to reaching down there to turn my key on when riding my Honda Shadow, I thought I may as well have the Yamaha switch there too. I guess it's what I'm used to now.
    I also cut the ket shorter and JB welded a chrome knob onto the key, so I never remove the key anymore (nobody knows it's the switch!)
