I thought I read in here, somewhere, that a member swapped his handlebars with a set of virago handlebars for a more comfortable position while riding, and he didn't have to change his cable or and hand controls. I would like to do the same... can anyone tel me if this is true. I'm doing a few small mods to my bike (XJ550 Maxim) that won't have a lot of down time during the riding season, and saving the bigger ones for the winter. Any suggestions, ideas, welcome

You will not have to change any thing unless the bars are substantially hire. But looking at virago bars they don’t look to different so it should just be a straight swap.

Hope this helps and I am sure other members will have things to add.
