Looks like we are going to get some bad weather in coastal Georgia Friday and Saturday. Not as bad as Daytona, but bad enough. Moved all the motorcycles and cars to high ground in the next county and planning to leave with the wife and dogs in the morning going about 40 miles inland to get away from the possibility of flooding. So, I'll be off line for a couple of days at least, and maybe longer depending on power outages. Keep all the folks in Florida, coastal Georgia, and South Carolina in your thoughts and prayers.

Let's know you're safe when you can..... Watching the news closely here----I have friends who have decided they're 'just gonna stay home and ride it" out in Flagler... Nobody could convince them to leave. They just got off the phone with family up here, and they all literally said their 'last good-byes' in the event they don't manage to ride it out. I probably won't sleep much tonight because of that, and they aren't even related to me. The folly of some people..........personal opinion.

Thinking of everyone else, thoughts and prayers are with you tonight and tomorrow

Best wishes and prayers for your and your family/friends safety. Your safety is first, your possessions second. But I hope both are ok.

Got back home yesterday afternoon and got power about an hour later. Comcast came on today, but the internet just came on. I had no damage but a lot of limbs and moss on the ground. Brunswick didn't receive too much damage, but St Simons Island is a mess. Residents were allowed on at noon today and the general public will be allowed on in the morning. As bad as it was, it could have been a lot worse because the storm surge was a lot less than expected. That said, fire wood will be real cheap for the next couple of years.
