83xj750rk seca need initial pilot air screw setting?

Is this setting 2.5-3.0 or 1.75-2.0 turns out? Thank you anyone who knows the truth.

Not sure either. A good tip that I picked up here was prior to removing the screws; screw them in and count how many turns until they bottom out.

I don't have my exact numbers in front of me but they ran in an approximate range from 1.75 - 2.25 turns (81 XJ 650 Maxim).

    Good luck!

    2 3/4 - 3 better rich than lean. you should get 4 adjustments from 2.75 to 3
    out is richer

Yep. I started with 2 1/2 turns out, and colortuned from there. Every pilot screw came out at least another 1/4 turn to get it spot on.
