Okay I cleaned the carbs and decided to adjust the valves on my Maxim X. Now I can not put back the intake cam shaft, I removed the cam tensioner sticked my finger in the whole but there still not enought slack on the timing chain. What am I missing? Any help would be much appreciated!!!

Did you line up the timing marks on the crankshaft and cams like the manual explains?

I just did this. Do you have the sprockets bolts removed so you can get the chain onto the sprocket, then the sprocket replaced on to the cam shaft?
