    Pros and cons to both?

Which one would you prefer and why?

Vmax all the way, the original one, and full power obv...

It's just the genuine, original article. A legend... And who needs 200mph anyway? :)

I concur wholeheartedly. I own a 98 VMAX and it is my favorite ride. Lot of torque and power in all 5 gears.

Never ridden a 'Busa, but the V-Max feels cramped to me at 6' with 32" inseam.

    I have rode a 1984 V-max and also a 2011 Busa.
Performance, handling and reliability the 'Busa wins hands down.

So the Vmax broke down? What caused the breakdown, bad design or 29 years worth of wear, tear & missed service items?
Same for performance & handling really as well, a used & abused 29yr old bike will never hold a candle to 2 year old machine.

Do you not think you may be unfairly condemning the 1984 bike by comparing it directly to a much newer & less worn vehicle? I put it to you that a properly maintained or recommisioned Vmax would handle every bit as well as the then-current chassis technology would allow & would never break down or so much as hiccup off a closed throttle like certain fuel-injected machines ;)

V-Max. The only time I like lying down while riding is when there is a woman involved.

you mean an 85? they didnt make them in 84

also there is a big difference between an 1985 motorcycle and a 2011 motorcycle, no matter what you are comparing. we should really be comparing newer v-max's with newer busa's

    and i agree with k-moe ^^^

The max I rode was my buddy's ride and in pretty decent shape. It was the first year they came out and he had to have one.

The Busa was brand new when he let me try it.
