I pulled all the exhaust off my new 82 650 Maxim and now after putting it back together I have at least one leak. I noticed while putting it back together that each header pipe is stamped with H1 H2 H3 H4. Do they go in order 1 - 4 from left to right from the seated position?

I made a rookie mistake by marking on them with a sharpie where they came from... them painted them! (brilliant I know)

Already did that! Only one broke, so for a temp fix I just cut the head off a 6mm hex head bolt and threaded it in in place of the broken stud.

If you lay them on the floor you can sort them.

Put them all together Collar Left.
    The 2 Long ones are 1 + 4
    The 2 Short ones a 2 + 3.

    Put 1 + 4 together.
Collars Left - Pipe on the floor.
The one that does NOT touch the floor is No,-1 (Angles IN to the left, toward the middle..
The one that touches the floor is No.-4 (Angles IN toward the middle.

Same drill for the two center pipes.
