My stock headpipes, have turned more black than chrome and I want it to run more efficiently. I have no mufflers now but I think it might run more efficiently if I wrapped the head pipes but I also know that alot of road grime, grease and gunk accumulate on them. If i wrap them, how do I keep them clean?
Also, I have air forks (xj750rh), one of the air joint fittings is cracked, and I preffer the handling with no air anyway. Fork oil leaks out and I'd prefer to just permately plug the holes in the forks than to replace the joint and the seals (considering I don't like them anyway). Has anyone done this with any success? What kind of putty or sealant would you reccomend?
