Recently purchased a 1982 Seca 750 from a neighbour for dirt cheap. I decided to join the forum because pretty much all my google searches about these bikes brought me here. The bike hasn't ran in quite some time so any information on what I should look into doing for an old bike like this would be appreciated.

The first couple things I was going to do was:
    • Clean the carbs
    • Placed the carb to engine rubber manifolds in alcohol / wintergreen solution to soften them
    • Once I'm sure it will run fix the gas tank rust
    • Needs breaks, tires, new rubber fuel lines etc, etc.
All the electrical components seem to be in working order and it has 15,000 km (9,400 miles). I know pretty much anything I need to know can be found on this site. Just posting to say hello and show my new project. Here is a picture of the bike right now:

My current and first bike is a Kawasaki 440 LTD. Here is some before and after pics:

    Welcome Riley
Nice find, like most prairie bikes a bit of barn dust but no rust
