help asap! no power when turning key

    I took the bike on a trip a few hours away, i need help or else im a bit stranded lol. my bike was just running as i warmed it up, but i turned it off for a second. I go to restart it and i go to turn the key and nothing happens...no lights turn on, no power to anything. its like the key or ignition doesnt work.suggestions on a quick fix?

    oh its an 85 xj700 maxim

    dodgy fuse block
    loose terminal on starter solenoid

    Main fuse under seat and on top of lower rear plastic fender guard. Other fuses/block in the indicator light panel under the gauges. Check the main fuse first.

    Ok, I ended up jiggling some wires under the seat near the battery and she fired right up. I havent figured out what wire is loose though.

    What does this main fuse look like? Thanks guys

    It's an inline blade type fuse. Need to find the loose connection and fix it, could leave you stranded or lead to damaged components and burnt wires. Look over all the wires and connections good and insulate if needed.
    Do you have a manual? If not, get one soon.
