hey, ive asked this before i went to college, and im finally back for a week.

anyways, I told how my bike races right to 6K rpm, and you guys said something like its probably getting caught on engine fins because even with the throttle cable disconnected it does the same thing, well i just pushed the bike into my garage (with front brakes practically locked) and i immediately pushed down and heard a thunk and it went down. Doh!

so it doesnt look like there are any engine fins to catch on, is it most likely catchin on the manifold clamps? i'd look for it myself but im doing this via my friends iphone cuz im on my way to the city to pick up somethings ive come to need since college. please lemme know, need to get my biek outta the garage by wenesday cuz we're having thanksgiving here, yay.

and zrttodd, sorry i havent gotten ur cd back to you, my roommate kinda cleaned my room while i was gopna for his friend an d threw away the envelope, i was gonna bring it home with me but forgot...

Have you at least stabilized your gas??
    I thought your 700 had a bad tranny ??
If your dad runs a 115 acre farm, then dosen't he have a mechanic?
Do the neighboring farmers have mechanics?

I don't mean to sound so critical, but there's alot of people looking for work right now, and your bikes are almost running, and a few hours of work {by a professional} would put them on the street. Just my opinion.

If the throttle cable is disconnected and the butterflys are closed you have a vacuum leak. Most likely from bad throttle shaft seals or manifolds.

no, time, i got a seca 750 with 1900 miles,

we had to abort coming home from the city... my friends family is on crack, anyways,

we have a 4000 acre farm, we are the mechanics.... and theres a really good local guy around here, and that was my christmas wish was for my parents to take the bike to him and get it at least idling and running

but good news! I moves the manifold clams, and it started up in a half rotation cold. though the idle is whack, i was messing with it hardcore last time to see if i could lower it.

now I would LOVe to change the oil, but my dad used my brand new gallon of shell rotell to start a brush fire... poop

so thanks time for responding, but she's alive!

I may take a look at my calipers and determine if they're outta my league.. and take them to someone tog et fixed... or is there someone on here looking for some money to make in their spare time that could rebuild my calipers?

Good to see a post from you Schoot! Hope school is going well for you. It's one thing to work on tractors and an entirely different skill to work on these bikes.

One good thing about the bikes is you don't have to literally split the bike in two pieces to replace the clutch!

    Have a good holiday!

    Loren!

haha, ya lauren, my grandpa has had our 4020 split in two twice this year, I dont know why we still have that tractor, kinda inefficiemt, but hella lotta fun to drive! I cant imagine splitting a tractor in two bymyself, but he does.

so ya, now im on to other things for now, thankfully im off the carbs, those are my least fav.. though i've started to notice my #1 or #4 cylinder isnt as warm as the rest.. im hoping some good ol sea foam and more running will gain it back..
