Today I took my carbs apart to clean them and after disassembly, I sprayed they out with carb cleaner and used the air compressor to blow them dry. With the jets removed I forgot that the tube the slide needle goes into will fall out and I lost it. It is a 1982 XJ650J. If anyone has one for sale I would appreciate a call or email. To clarify it is the brass tube that drops in from the top. The needle that is in the slide goes into it and a jet screws into it from the bottom. Thanks

It's called the emulsion tube and there are many full racks of these Hitachi carbs available on ebay among other places. Wouldn't be a bad idea to pick up a spare rack.

That's a pretty good sized thing to 'lose'. Where did you lose it? It's almost 1/4" in diameter and almost 2" long. that's pretty big compared to some other parts.

Next question: Where are you located? Most likely someone is near you.

Last, if worse comes to worst, I MAY have an extra around......Let me know and I'll check.

Get 3 or 4 young kids to help you look for it.
Show them what one looks like.
Offer 5-bucks to the one who finds it.
Five minutes later, ... you'll be out 5-bucks.
But, ... you'll have the Jet.

This works, by the way. And for lots smaller things than an emulsion tube.
