Have you checked your valve clearances yet?

The valve clearances need to be in spec or you won't get a good sync.

Once your carbs have been cleaned and serviced and their float levels accurately set, you do a "bench" sync.

Then after putting them back on the bike, you do your vacuum sync with the motor running.

You're synchronizing the carbs to balance out the small differences between cylinders; the valves have to be in spec first or you're wasting your time.

Also, did you manage to get your airbox back yet, or find a replacement?
