Hi people, I wrote several times in this forums regarding some questions/problems I got with my XJ (1985 XJ 700 N) and everyone helped me a lot. In fact, I want to say thanks to everyone to keep this place on the net, is really a good thing to have where to fall back for help. I'm currently living in Argentina after 12 years living in South Florida, USA, I'm sure mine is one of the few and the proud Maxims riding this latitudes. Downside is not too many parts at your motorcycle shop shelves. Anyway, if some of you are planning a trip to take on in south america, send me a mail, me and my Mc will be glad to help you with any questions you may have or free and safe places to spend the night, or mechanics shops and a lot more...again, thank to all to keep this site running.

    Hi Rod,

It's great to hear that there is someone down at the bottom of the world riding the XJ. I live in Canada and I'm planning a pan-American journey from Inuvi, NWT, to Tierra Del Fuego on my 1981 XJ650 Maxim. I don't have many plans laid in stone as of yet, as I'm not planning on leaving Canada until September, but it would be fantastic if you could offer any South American motorcycling advice.

    Thanks,

    James

    Hey Rod1
Here are my salutations from Waterloo, Province of Quebec, Canada. It uses to be quite cold at this period of the year but we are experiencing pretty weird weather this winter: -29 Celsius last weekend and then +13 Celsius yesterday! Obvioulsy not good to ride bikes neither ski-doos.

    Take care!

    Francois
