high idle with warm engine

i have a 550 and it will start and idle fine with no problem at just under 1500 then after riding it a bit and coming to a stop it will idle at 2500 if its in gear with the clutch pulled or in neutral its the same thing BUT if i kill the bike for half a second and not touch the throttle or choke or anything and restart it it will idle fine again, would this be a carb sync problem, they should be damn close last time i had them abart about 2 months ago i gave them a bench sync with a plug gapper, its not so much a problem as it is an annoyance but any info would help

Agree with Blackout. I think that thread has some good troubleshooting ideas. Let us know how you make out after going through them.
