high revs on startup

    Hi i am new here i have just cleaned my carbs following the manual but now when i start the bike it immediately revs to 5500 and stays there could this be a pilot screw adjustment or vacuumor is there something else i should be looking at any help would be much appreciated

    If you did a proper bench sync then your throttle cable is hung up and keeping the butterfly plates open. Throttler should :snap" closed and you should hear it.
    Few other things;
    Enrichment circuit(choke) is open
    Float levels too high
    Idle speed screw turned up too much

    Mixture screws should be 2 1/2 turns out to start

    Did you check the valve adjustments?
