Couple of days ago, blinkers dont, now they do.

My reasoning: My commute to work is fairly short, about 5kms, and I never go over 60. In some places the speed limit is 30. For the last couple of weeks I've been riding the bike only to work and back. I checked the signals this morning and they all lit up, so all the bulbs are working, but no blinky blinky. I figured I'd take her out for a little run before I knuckle down and start testing wires, off I go for about a 40 minute run averaging about 80km/h. Halfway through the trip I hit the signals, and they're working! Yay!

I think the short trip isn't enough to recharge the battery properly after starting her up, especially on cold mornings, so the battery ran down and didn't have enough oomph to blink the signals. After a good run, the alternator sullied enough power and the relays kicked in. Make sense?

Signal Lights that act like that are a good sign that its time for you to inspect and measure yoaur Alternator Brushes.

When the Brushes get short the Current needed to charge the battery isn't near enough to keep the Battery and the Ignition System with enough juice to maintain the whole load.

It's very easy to inspect and measure the Brushes.
You simply remove the Alternator Cover ant the Brushes are mounted on the inside back of the cover.

10mm or less means they are in need of replacement.
