    20 months.
Custom: headlight bracket, dashboard, brake caliper bracket, front fender, airbox, battery box, seat, harness, taillight bracket.
New: instruments, clipons, pipe wrap, indicators, mirrors, chain&sprockets, brake caliper, front disc, piston rings and seals.

No prior knowledge, this is the first vehicle I have owned. Its not completely finished, but it rides. Everything I know was learnt from the internet.
90% of that was from xjbikes.com

Thankyou everyone, I owe you allso much.
    Much love,

my guess would be "hotaru" and it would be a reference to this...

    http://naruto.wikia.com/wiki/Hotaru

    Hotaru (蛍) means firefly.

    again, I am just guessing.

Nicely done! Are you gonna clean up the tank or leave as is?

Yep the kanji for "firefly" is on the clutch cover,
Also, where the yics logos usually go, the katakana for "firefly" on one side and "bleeding oxide" on the other.
I was searching for god names (thunder, rebirth, brat) and working at a solar generator company. i looked up at one of their shipping containers and read "Firefly".
I love the tv show, but its not part of the build.

The tank would be better off aliminium so i could get the brushed look I want.
I discovered the damage under the old paint and decided to keep it.
It has been sanded front-to-back with 80 grit and covered in mipa 2pak.
Sadly, it was cold, I rushed, the rust got in like a rash.

    Todo:
Improve front suspension, replace exhaust system, fix the damaged "hotaru" decal, re-do the tank, get better indicators that dont rust, shorter side stand, add a fuel gauge, lose the centre stand.
Maybe- shorter cables, Smaller headlight, re-do the loom nicely, convert to spokes, better clipons, new grips, pretty levers.

Oh yeh, Im an AV tech/Stagehand, so the footpegs are held on by Truss pins (truss being the lattice structures you see all the lights hanging off at concerts),
theres a "5-star roadcase" logo on the batterybox and those hardcore powerconnectors are Powercon and Speakon (power for moving lights and a common speaker connector).
