How do I add to or edit an existing post?

    Several months ago I posted a thread on replacing the fork seals in an XJ700 that included 58 pictures which I downloaded from photobucket. Appaarently, it was simply a link to photobucket and they deleted the pictures and now the thread I posted has no pictures. I still have the pictures and have downloaded then the Shutterfly. Do I have to completely redo the thread or is there some way I can go in and edit it and add the pictures back?

    I believe, and could easily be wrong, that there is only a few minutes to edit a post unless you are a supporting (premium) membership. I don't think think you have any ability to change titles on threads without the premium membership.

    In that case I guess I will simply have to do it again or add the pictures as a reply. Maybe the moderator will fill me in.

    When I get the chance I'll see if I can edit your posts. If so you'll need to send me (or another moderator) the photo links in a conversation so the thread can be updated.

    A link to the thread would make it easier for us.

    Mods can insert new links to replace the broken ones. I put a test image in for now.
    If you put the new links into a new post on that thread one (or more) of us can get that taken care of. We can remove your new links from your new post as we fix the original writeup.

    Please annotate the links as to the order they should go in (#1, #2, ect.).

    There is nothing personal in there so take a look and see if you can work with it.

    The folder is named fork seals for xj700 or something similar

    I was able to simply copy each picture (on shutterfly) and insert it into a test post, but had to inlarge them first. The pictures are numbered with titles and in order. You should be able to fit them in the post.

    Will do. I'm transferring your photo hosting account info to a moderators-only thread. While what you have on there isn't personal, there are ways for others to abuse your shutterfly account if that info is publicly available. It also violates your TOS agreement with Shutterfly, and the combination could end up with the photos disappearing again.

    It may take a few days before all of the photo links are restored. Please be patient.

    When you finish let me know and I will change the password. Also, I just checked and saw that they were not labeled but are in order. If it is easier I can put them on photobucket or email them to you, in which case they will also be in order and with labels.
