    wow... but not sure how well that would hold up to use, also there could be issues with heat/ventilation as well.

    I had an idea of a plywood fuel tank cover with matching side covers for my old XS650 but it is still a plan in my head. I'm still not sure I have enough skills to achieve that idea.

    This Vespa is amazing!

    Great woodwork, but not a first. There's been many Vespa's done in wood, many from the factory in the 50's-60's.

    I think this one went a tad further, what with the wood controls levers and such. Nice details.

    It's absolutely gorgeous, and of course, as horribly impractical as it is beautiful.

    But it really is some truly incredible craftsmanship. Of course, it is a little easier to cover your mistakes in wood than it is with sheet metal...

    that guy is truly a master of laminating and machining wood. it looks awesome! definitely an art piece more than a practicality.
