I just came by a minty set of Krauser luggage with rack and mounting kit (kit is still in box) that says it's for a 750 Maxim.

I don't have a Maxim, I bought this as "Yamaha luggage" to mount on my FJ.

Is this a super rare accessory I'm better off selling to someone with a Maxim? What do these things typically go for?

Krauser bags are an aftermarket item. They had their own mounting system, and IIRC the bags are universal in the same way that Vetter fairings are (same fairing + a different mount for every bike). I have no idea what a set for a Maxim will go for (I've never seen a set for sale), but the BMW sets fetch really good money.

Depends where you look...... If I look up in my attic, I see original Yamaha XJ luggage sets all over the place.

I suppose the problem is that I don't live in your attic...

On the flip side of that, it would mean that Hogfiddles would be living in your basement. Be careful what you wish for, is all I'm saying.

Basement is where the carbs get cleaned. That would actually be rather beneficial.
