I recently decided to be silly, like I am with most projects, and put a fuel pump on my 1978 Honda 185 Twinstar.

How do I know what size fuel pump to put on it?

    Thanks,
    rubiks

if your carbs weren't made to work with a fuel pump, then maybe a auxiliary tank setup
i saw a honda magna i think with a setup like that with a small fuel pump and a "pony" tank
a fuel pump would blow gas right past your floats

+1 fuel pressure in a gravity feed system is about 1/3 PSI, and electric fuel pumps are about 6 PSI. Even the pressure regulators don't go below 2 PSI accurately.

You might consider a lawnmower or boat motor fuel pump that works off of vacuum pulses. They would be at least in the pressure range you're looking for, and don't require wiring.
