I was trying to get the float pin out of the carb and was about to get it out. When I went in for the last tap, the tower just cracked. I dont want to mess with it anymore because it is still somewhat in place. Is there any hope to get this bike running again? what else can I do? I was looking forward to this

You can JBWeld it back; or just replace the carb body.

Which carb is it and do you have the other 3 apart yet?

I was thinking about bringing it to a welder too. It is the # 3 carb. I've only taken one apart and cleaned it. the other two are still in their original state

    Bummer. :(

If you don't find a cheap option locally, you can ship me the other two carbs. I'll take the pins out and send everything back to you.

Probably less than $30 round trip.

Still hoping someone near you chimes in...

That IS a bummer. The word is that JB-Weld is the easy fix. It's an epoxy that needs absolute cleanliness to adhere, and give it 48 HR cure time just to make sure.

Muggy Weld (Google it) would be another option. Their alloy #1 should fix this pretty easily... about $50 for the starter kit, shipped, though, but it's good to fix a lot of aluminum, pot metal, and dissimilar metal items. I used it to repair an A/C evaporator that was copper to aluminum... worked well.
