I can't get my picture to load as an avatar

    I resized my picture to 45x36 pixels and only 1.58k and it still says "error file size can't be over 6k " ? What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

    I put mine up on photobucket and used their change size thingy "technical term"and linked to that.Not real tech savvy I'm afraid but the pic I'm using is about twice the pixels you have stated.
    I hope this is of some help.
