Jeezus. Either you get an awesome exchange rate, your version of humble is different from mine, or you're being sarcastic. That helmet is over 500 bucks cdn. I assume overseas shipping will not be free.
It does look super cool, and the stripes would definitely match a 550 or 650, but it ain't cheap! I like bright helmets, cuz my leather is black, so anything for more visibility.

I too understand the pain of being in love with a european helmet. Le sigh.

What is your head worth?...... At least $500 . Do the math, I will use a helmet for 3-5 years then is worn out to the point it fits too loose ( not safe if you land hard)high side on an sv1000 alt 12 feet 20 yards down range at 40 miles per hour helmet toast(Arai)and I stood right up and wtf did I slip on? So 1000+days divided buy $500 = 50cents or less a day = cheap insurance!!!!

I was at a dealership the other day, full face for about 200$. All I am saying is that 500$ + overseas shipping isnt exactly on the "humble" end of the spectrum. I am totally on board for safety, and your brain is probably worth saving...

True Matti there are great helmets around now in that price range. My problem is that many helmets are too round for my head. Mine is more oval and a little square up front so I have a tough time getting a good fit.

I tend to agree with Matti. I felt like when I got my $200 USD ($260 CAD) full-face helmet, I was on the low end of doing the "right thing" in terms of quality and safety.

Shipping costs, round helmet designs (I have an ovally head, too) and not being able to try one on are why I haven't sprung for an Airoh or Roof helmet yet. Looking forward to the day someone starts importing these to Ohio.

Most helmets are all the same size, so that they can do rigorous testing on one model instead of one for each head size. The only difference is the padding inserts. Modifying the foam could be disastrous for how it performs in a crash. I don't feel like playing Jenga with the thing that was designed to protect my brain.

On the day of the first post the exchange rate was 1.11 Euro to $1 U.S. About 1/3 less than what it was this time last year, and the cheapest it's been in almost a decade.
If you own a BMW, Porsche, or other EU made collectable, this is the time to stock up on replacement parts.

Yeah, there's the difference maker... 1 Canadian peso is about .69 euro. We were close to American dollar a few months ago, but it just fell through the floor. Making XJ shopping that much more difficult.
