Just stopped in to check email, and do some online stuff, and see how things are doin around here. still dont have internet at my new house.

Im still workin on my bike, havent got it completely ridable yet, I got the carbs off again, and I'm going through them again makin sure I get all the passages clean, I found out my last bench sync was way off. Dont know what I was smokin when I did it. I fixed that, figgured out a new way to sync them without using a paper clip, or business card, on the top of the venturi where the pilot mixture hole is, there is 2 other holes up there that are offset I adjust the butterflies until they are all in between those holes, then fine tune the sync so that the butterfly makes one of the holes just barely disapear. (hard to explain without visuals, but thats the best I can do) This method seems to be the most accurate sync.

Also took my manifold boots off and the gaskets were totally shot basically turned to dust, so I replaced them, I filled all the cracks in the boots with hi temp silicone. I am going to replace all the clamps since they dont tight down as tight as they should, and Im replacing the 3 rubber caps on the nipples. Dont want no leaks in that department.

Measured my alternator brushes at 8mm so..... That means they need to be replaced tooo...

I will let you all know the outcome.
