I just purchesed a Viper windsheild for my maxim x. The instructions are the same as the spitfire instructions. I got it for a pretty good deal from a yamaha dealer that was closing out. So after a few hours of cursing and swearing, I still havent managed to get the wind sheild on properly, the brackets tend to hit the speedo/tach assemblies, I was just wondering if anyone with the spitfire sheild had the same problems? My handlebars, speedo/tach are all OEM, so any tips or tricks, pics e.t.c would be cool.Thanks.

I have the slip streamer ss-28 it took me nearly 4 days to get it to fit right. but its on now and i love it.

try moving the mounting brakets around a bit . Is fustraiting but when you are done you are relieved.

maybe get a fellow biker as a 2nd brain to help you out or befriend a dealership employee to help ( funny what a 12 pack of beer can get you)

adding fuel to the subject, bought a windshield off craiglist, cheap $15 took me 7 hours to get it on right, once it is on not sure if I like how it looks.
My guess is I will like it more then how it will look.
Too bad Windjammer is out of business.
