Is there a way 2 attach 1" handlebars on my bike? Like mount an adapter that excepts the 1" diameter bars!?!

    Thanx

Why do you want to switch to 1" bars? It can be done easy enough. But you would have to switch all of your controls. It would get expensive. Is it simply a matter of wanting a different style or the fatter look? Most bar styles are available in both 7/8" and 1".

Well the style handlebars I'm looking 4. I can't find in 7/8". There only in 1". But I just found a site that will custom make handlebars. I'm going 2 email them with my measurements. N see what they say.

    I assume you're kidding...

Post up what kind of bars you're looking at getting.
Save yourself the money on 1" bars... You can def find the same bars in 7/8" for cheaper, plus save all the money and trouble of switching out to more expensive 1" controlls / levers.

NO not really! But kinda... :? I rarely use my front breaks. YES! I use my rare brakes with downshifting/engine breaking 2 slow down. N YES I do like 2 get "squirly" in the rear-end sometimes. It keeps me on my toes... 2 each there own!?!

As 4 the handlebars. Something like these would be sweet:
    anything on this page: http://www.brscustombars.com/Ape_Hangers.php

Money isn't an issue... :D So, whateva I need 2 do 2 make 'em work. I'll do!

Could you not just bore out your bar clamp? Seems like that would be the easiest way to go, unless I'm missing something...

Get a left turner in front of you and you'll be wanting that front brake, big time...

Anyways... do you know someone that welds? Should be able to use 1" bars with 7/8" ends welded in... more work ya, but you get the look you want and use all the oem controls

Well, if money is no object, BR's Custom Bars says they'll custom make them however you want them. You could probably get them to make them with 7/8 for the center section and on the ends, too.

    Just a thought,
    Dean

Dear lord man - use the front brake!

The bike is WAY WAY too heavy to be stopped with only the rear brake. That is a bad accident waiting to happen.

OK my front brake lever on my bike. Is very stiff. It's hard 2 press in. So thats a BIG reason y I don't use my front brake... N another thing. I DO use my front brakes when "needed". I just like using my rear brake when theres no need 2 stop quick...

    Back 2 the handlebars. Yes I emailed BR'S cuustom bars. I'm waiting 4 a reply. I also emailed this guy: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 04837&rd=1

    N he gave me a price of $129 shipped 4 7/8" bars.

I don't even leave the driveway to go anywhere until I have tested my Front Brakes.

I don't like the idea of getting the bike sideways or losing it duirng an avoidance maneuver.

If I were you, I'd forget about changing-out the handlebars and spend the money getting the Front Brakes working tip-top.

Leave "Getting squirrelly" to the squirrels and get yourself some stopping power up front.
You don't want wish you had a handful of front brakes to grab by having an accident!

The front brakes will be addressed before the handlebars or any costly mods be done.

I'm looking 4 like 12" rise. But I need 2 measure with me on my bike. 2 make sure my hands aren't above my shoulders. Thats against the law up here in Maine.
