    Hello All,

I see a lot of threads saying the same thing I, a newbie, have said...I cleaned my carbs and my bike won't start or idle. Starter jets are located at the "VERY BOTTOM" of the port on the lower bowl where the thin tubing pulls starter fuel (NOT THE EMULSION TUBES). This STARTER JET, if not cleared will effect the starting and idle of your bike also in turn making it difficult to synch and mixture set. It is essential to shave a carb straw, stick it in short port inside the bowl and have a stream of cleaner shoot out of the port on the top-side flush with the gasket where the thin tubing in the top half of the bowl inserts to pull fuel. Chacal has a tiny drill bit that can be used with a pair of needle nose pliers to help with the cleaning process. How to safely remove starter jets??? I have no idea. They don't have a "slotted" head for removal like the other jets. Gotta' be a way tho'...Just don't think these carbs where designed to have to trash the carbs for trying to remove jets. Hmmmmmmmmm. Hope this helps.
