I just ordered a new wiring harness, as trying to replace all the wire one at a time on my old (and completely jury rigged btw) ended with me having no spark in my coils, but my starter works.

So is there anythign i should know when installing a new harness? I know to check the conections to make sure they are corrosion free, I have the grease stuff and new connectors I'll be using.

What I'm mostly curious about is, since I'm missing a few items, like the starting circuit cut-off relay, sidestand assembly and switch, flasher and blinkers, flasher relay, etc. is there anything I'm going to need to circumvent or something?

I really need to fix this problem, I start a new job on Monday (finally found one!) and I HAVE to get there on time =(

di-electric grease is a great thing to use, cant help you with the relays though as i dont know which ones you are asking about specifically.

relays in general though are extremely nessassary, and will prevent you from burning your new wiring harness up.

if it were i, i would try finding annother way to work instead of trying to half ass it and mess up your new harness just because you diddnt have relays.

    imho.

Picture heavy, what plug/wires does this go to?

Thank you sir....The harness came with all the relays, including the flasher/ignition combo package thing, so I'm all good there. What I need to know now is what plugs go to what wires.

The PO cut all the damn plugs off so it's become rather difficult to figure out. I've been trying to get it with the diagram but to no avail.

And instead of just asking the same question 50 different ways and not getting a useful response, I decided to take pictures! Should make this easier. Hopefully someone will have pity on my poor pathetic and tortured soul and check ou their bike and give me a heads up. I would so much appriciate it I can't even begin to describe it! So here we go, my pictures. Please keep in mind these are all plugs and wires that are in the front harness and headlight area. I've still got all the stock plugs to the rear wire harness stuff.
