Well......I just brought home yet another steed to the stable. Tonight I picked up a 1985 Vmax. Now I am telling myself I MUST sell off a couple (just A COUPLE) of the others to make room......and get some of my $ back.......gotta keep the hobby paying for the hobby, right?

This medication for MAS (Motorcycle Acquisition Syndrome) doesn't seem to be working right. May have to not go to the doctor some more. :)

Ha! You've got Lenoitis (Like Jay Leno). You do have a mighty stable there my friend. Have you seen the new Vmax? They are insane looking and put out a ridiculous amount of HP. I really like their sculpted rotors-look mean.

LOL, I feel you Dave....I really do. I know EXACTLY how it feels....soooooooooo CONGRATULATIONS ON THE V!! Dynamite bike! You'll figure it out, you know, where to put it.....I pulled all the bikes out of the garage, reshuffled and reconfigured how I had them parked and was able to get another in there. Then, I moved another that is getting a new set of tins to my work/storage room in the back of my basement......THEN I was able to unload the bike that had been stuck sitting in my expedition for 6-8 weeks......yeah, I know the feeling.

I'd hate for you to sell any.....you know how it is....if you sell one or two....you never know whatwill take their places....and something WILL take their places!!

    LOL

I got room in my garage for one more, how about putting one of those 900 Seca's in there. That will give you room for the V-Max.

My medication for MAS is beer, because it makes me fall asleep on the couch and then I never make it out to look at the bike

I had better get that Midnight Maxim home before it starts getting jealous, and feeling neglected.

I don't think if feels neglected..... I think it is enjoying the company. I think they are all snuggling together tonight since it's snowing outside. Yes, for real. 1.5" on the ground right now. Hey, maybe I should run a sled around.........nah, too tired.

Can't have too many but it is time to get a bike with less than 1100cc.

WELL..... I'm happy---The goldwing project that I picked up earlier this summer came with no key's other than the ignition key so I could not open the tank cover or any of the saddlebags, plus it's missing the battery -side cover. Those covers are expensive! Anyway, I've tried on occasion to see if I could carefully bend the top cover enough to unhook the lock so I could at least get started on removing things so I can start the stator repair job this winter. Today I decided to try again, and if it bent--well, I'd just have to get another sometime.

I worked at it til it popped........Hurray! I got it released and was able to do it by twisting rather than bending, and I got it straightened right out, too, with no bends or kinks. :)

I did end up, though, with one main question...... WHAT KIND OF IDIOT PREVIOUS OWNER LOCKS ALL OF THE KEYS INSIDE THE STORAGE COMPARTMENT INCLUDING THE KEY NEEDED TO OPEN SAID COMPARTMENT?!?!?!?!?! Hey, let's see if there's anything good in any of the saddlebags.........Hey, look at that-- a cheap tape measure. OH, and look at this.....a cheap camouflage color pocket knife with a case. This is just like Christmas!!!! HEY....WHAT'S THIS!?!?!?! IT'S MY MISSING SIDE COVER, AND ALL THE TABS ARE INTACT AND THERE'S NO CRACKS!!!!!!! And LOOK! It's a Red Ryder BB Gun!!!! (oh wait......just kidding about the BB gun)

I miss my v max. But thats ok it would not get ridden anymore then the others do. Since April i have put 5 miles on the honda and less then 10 on the rd. Hopefully will finish up the maxim this winter.
Stupid me i could not say no The guy i sold 1 of my viragos to over a year ago. Called and begged me to work on it. He had his mechanic swap the 1100 motor out for a 750 couldn't get it to run on 1 cyl. They swapped the wiring harness to the 750s still only ran on 1 cyl swapped the harness back. They think its electrical. His former mechanic had the bike over 9 months couldnt figure it out. I believe they are trying to start it with a battery charger thats a no no on a virago something in the ignition is the same frequency as the battery charger. He will pay dearly hope its simple
